I do love to party, sure, but when it can be for a good cause then I can really get my crunk on. Well, is opening up at (pretty much the only mall I go to), which isn’t far from my house (and VERY close to my new house, cross your fingers), and they are having a big old opening gala and giving ALL ticket proceeds to an incredible cause. Keep reading, folks.
So here’s the story: There are two charities that the Gala is giving 100 percent of the proceeds to. The first is , which is a 100-year-old non-profit that provides care for abused children that for one reason or another aren’t living with their families. It’s basically a permanent foster care for at-risk youth that provides everything their parent should, but for whatever reason can’t or doesn’t right now.
In short: these kids wouldn’t have A PRAYER for a normal life (let alone a GOOD one) without Hillsides’ services. They are changing lives, nay, ACTUALLY saving them.
The second is which is a company in the Glendale area who vows to end homelessness in the greater Glendale area, one person and one family at a time. The agency serves over 1200 homeless men, women, and children each year through it’s comprehensive service and housing programs. Proceeds from the gala will support 40 bed shelter for families and single adults.
I’m co-chairing the gala and because of that I received a bunch of free tickets to the event. The tickets normally cost $100 (and I still VERY much encourage you to buy them if you can afford it) and they include a lot of delicious food/drinks, gift bags, and general A, B, C, D, and E list celebrities. So who wants to come with me?
The event is next Tuesday, September 17th, at 7pm at The Americana. Come hang out with me (and Nicole Richie … by the way:))
To enter to win (two pairs of tickets = four total) all you have to do is leave a comment with your email saying so. No funny gimmicks, just make sure to leave your email and I’ll messenger you over the invite!! Or again, if you just want to purchase a ticket to the event, go here.
Come be my dates, folks. I’ll be debuting some sort of maternity outfits that it will take me approximately 30 hours to pick out.
